How to choose a daily screen time limit
Use your own Screen Time report to choose a manageable daily limit for the apps you want to use less.
There is no single daily limit that fits everyone. A useful starting point is a little less than your current typical use of the specific apps you want to change, while leaving enough time for intentional use.
Look at your baseline
Open Settings → Screen Time and review your daily or weekly activity. Look at the apps you want to limit rather than treating all phone use as equivalent: a map, a call, and an endless feed serve different purposes.
Try a small change
Choose a trial allowance for one week and notice when you hit it. If the limit regularly stops something important, adjust it. If you keep moving to a different feed, consider a shared allowance for those apps. A limit is a tool you can revise, not a grade.
Understand the numbers
Our screen time calculator converts a daily allowance into weekly and yearly time. It is arithmetic, not a prediction of time saved: your actual use may change in either direction.
Until Red offers 10, 15, 20, and 30 minute daily choices across selected apps. See how it works.
